I know that this is Propolis Extract EP300, and that propolis is associated with bees, but what is the difference between propolis, royal jelly, and beeswax?
Propolis is made from the resins gathered from trees and other plants and then modified by the bees’ own enzymes as they process the material, mix it with beeswax, and make it into a protective antibacterial glue and sealant. Bees use propolis to protect the hive. It contains many compounds that can support immune health.* Because we recognize that propolis is a precious resource, Propolis Extract EP300 is produced with a commitment to bee-friendly practices and healthy hives. It also uses a patented method to filter out inactive resins and beeswax, yielding a powerful and concentrated extract.
Royal jelly is a nutrient-rich food made by honeybees to feed both larvae and queens. For larvae, it is only fed for a short time, while queens rely on this food for their entire lives. Royal jelly is considered to have health properties of its own for humans, because of its amino acid, vitamin, enzyme, and trace mineral content, but it is not the same thing as propolis.
Beeswax is often confused with propolis, but it is not the same material. Beeswax is used to construct the cell walls of the hive, while propolis is used to seal the hive (it is sometimes called “bee glue”) and protects the hive from bacteria and other invaders. Because propolis is used, in part, to cement the hive together, it can be found combined with beeswax, but that material is filtered out from propolis for when it is used as a supplement.
Should I take this product if I’m allergic to honey or pollen?

What is GammaSorb® and how does it work?
GammaSorb in Propolis Extract EP300 Chewable is an ingredient called gamma cyclodextrin, an oligosaccharide. GammaSorb improves the absorption of fat-soluble nutrients by enveloping them in a water-soluble shell. To be more specific, the gamma cyclodextrin plant-derived molecule surrounds fat-soluble ingredients in an open-ended microscopic structure, the exterior of which is water soluble. This escorts the ingredients to the walls of the intestines for better absorption.
Can I take more than one chewable tablet?
Yes, for when additional benefits are needed, you can increase to one chewable tablet twice daily. This propolis is appropriate for adults and children ages 4 and up, so it can be used with confidence.
